Ludream is a lucid dreaming companion app for iOS and Android, developed and operated by Coderilla GmbH. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy mean Coderilla GmbH. References to "you" mean any person who downloads, installs, or uses the Ludream app or visits ludream.app.

We are registered in Germany. The responsible data controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

1. In-app data (on your device only)

All dream journal entries, insights, practice records, settings, and content you create inside the Ludream app are stored exclusively in a local SQLite database on your device. This data never leaves your device, unless you explicitly choose to back it up or export it.

• We have no access to your dream entries, moods, vividness ratings, or any other journal content.
• We do not collect analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry from the app.
• We do not use third-party SDKs that transmit your usage data anywhere.

2. Waitlist and newsletter email

If you submit your email address on ludream.app to join the waitlist or newsletter, we collect and store that email address for the sole purpose of sending you updates about Ludream's availability and app updates.

• Legal basis: Your consent (GDPR Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a).
• Retention: We retain your email until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• No profiling: We do not combine your email with any behavioural data.
• Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by writing to data-privacy@coderilla.de.

3. Optional questionnaire answers

When joining the waitlist, you are invited to answer five optional questions about your lucid dreaming experience and goals. These answers help us prioritise features and better understand our users. Answering is entirely optional — you can skip the questionnaire and still sign up for the waitlist.

• Legal basis: Your consent (GDPR Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a), given at the same time as joining the waitlist.
• Data stored: Your selected answers are stored alongside your email address for internal analysis purposes only.
• No obligation: Skipping all questions does not affect your ability to join the waitlist.
• Retention: Answers are stored for as long as your email address is retained and deleted together with it upon request.

4. Server log files (Website)

When you visit our website ludream.app, the web server automatically collects information that your browser transmits to us (including your IP address, date/time of access, browser type, operating system). This is technically necessary to ensure the stability and security of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f). This data is automatically deleted after a short period.

5. Website analytics

ludream.app uses privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics (e.g. aggregate page-view counts) and anonymous click counters for the app store downloads (iOS/Android) that do not identify individual visitors. This purely statistical data is used to optimize our website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f).

ludream.app does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind. We only use a technically necessary temporary cookie (or local browser storage) to prevent multiple counting of the same visitor when clicking the download buttons. This is strictly necessary for our legitimate statistical interests and does not require consent under ePrivacy rules.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may only be shared in the following circumstances:

• Email service provider: We use Mailgun (Sinch) to send our waitlist and newsletter emails, with data processing taking place on servers within the European Union (EU). This is done on the basis of a data processing agreement (DPA) pursuant to GDPR Art. 28.
• Legal obligation: If required by applicable law or a court order, we may disclose data to competent authorities.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding any personal data we process about you:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure: Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Restriction: Ask us to restrict processing of your data.
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at data-privacy@coderilla.de. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (e.g., the authority responsible for our company's registered office).

Because all core app data is stored locally on your device, its security depends primarily on your device's own encryption and access controls. We recommend enabling device-level encryption and using the in-app PIN lock for additional protection.

For waitlist emails, we apply standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls on our email service provider.

Ludream is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not collect personal data inside the app. Regarding our website and newsletter, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at data-privacy@coderilla.de and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. In the event of material changes affecting the processing of your stored email address, we will notify waitlist subscribers in advance by email.
